We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Functions Manager full-time to join our team. As the Marketing and Functions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable experiences for our guests and promoting our unique offerings between both of our clubs, Illawarra Yacht Club and Oak Flats Bowling Club located within the beautiful Illawarra Region.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
• Creative Marketing Mindset: Bring your innovative ideas to life and develop engaging marketing campaigns that showcase the beauty and charm of both locations. From captivating social media content to eye-catching print materials, your creativity will help us attract guests from near and far.
• Event Planning Expertise: Plan and execute a variety of events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. Whether it’s a wedding located on the beautiful waterfront of Lake Illawarra, brand activation, special celebrations, or a corporate event, you’ll ensure every detail is meticulously coordinated for a seamless and memorable experience.
• Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with our Management Team and Venue Managers, hospitality staff, and external vendors to bring your marketing initiatives and events to life. Your ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly will be essential in fostering strong relationships and ensuring everyone is aligned towards our goals.
• Results-Driven Approach: Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and events, analysing key metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Your data-driven insights will guide our decision-making process and help us continually enhance our offerings.
• Passion for Excellence: Strive for excellence in everything you do, from the quality of your marketing materials to the execution of flawless events.

Please note, this role will solely oversee the Marketing department, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Marketing
• Management of daily enquiries by the internal team (promotional material and items, brand enquiries, club signage, advertising, and marketing campaigns)
• Management of daily enquiries by members and guests via the website
• Plan, design, manage and oversee all aspects of our social media and marketing platforms (Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn)
• Graphic design
• Electronic direct mail to 18,000 members
• Creation and management of in-house and external events
• Work within the organisations brand guidelines to ensure consistency is maintained
• Contribute ideas to the overall marketing strategy as a key member of the team
• Creating and distributing promotional materials and advertisements
• Digital marketing tasks- plan and direct marketing campaigns
• Photography and editing
• Liaising with external tourism companies, shopping centres, radio stations and news outlets
• Competitor marketing research
• Manage social media content calendar
• Website building and editing
• Identify current club trends and insights, analysing reports and metrics

Functions
• Manage and coordinate events and functions with function coordinators located at both clubs with additional assistance from functions teams.
• Receive, respond, and manage customer enquiries
• Be responsible for the team operation of all functions from initial bookings to room set up through to function coordination and completion
• Execute the administration of events including creation of the initial contract, document signing, invoicing, running sheets and finalise billing
• Conduct client meetings and room tours
• Collect and review functions feedback
• Manage all bookings via the booking calendar and functions system
• Organise function catering orders for the appropriate Head Chef at each club upon
each function booking request.

To be successful in this role you will have/be:
• Certificate in Marketing or Events or similar
• A passion for creating great marketing campaigns and designs
• Flexible working hours, with the ability to WFH
• RSA and RCG competency card
• Australian Drivers Licence with reliable transportation
• Great time management with exceptional planning skills
• Knowledge of Facebook Ad Centre, Ad Manager and WordPress
• Be able to manage large workloads
• A personable, creative and driven individual who is self-motivated to work independently and can work as part of a team.
• Experience in Canva design
